Latest F.A.Q.'s: Cottad (extension packet), Red Cross, and R+R Leave..

Cottad (extension packet) : If you have reciever orders for extenions for your soldier, this is simply because more than likely your soldier has already complete a previos tour of Duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is for this tour already underway, NOT an extensionn of this tour. For more questions on this topic simply fill out the Q+A form above and submit.

Red Cross Emergencies : If you have an emergency at home which requires you soldier to return home, you will need to contact the Red Cross.  Click on the page titled Red Cross for helpful links, phone numbers and infromation on the Red Cross.

Rest and Relaxation leave: In response to some questions on R+R leave, YES,!! the 542 TC has soldiers on R+R leave right now and will continue to do so as the months progress.  R+R leave is 15 days for leave and 5 days for travel.  Travel time DOES NOT count against leave.  Leave time's start at midnight the day the returning soldier arrives at his or her closest airport in the US or place of destination.  Travel fee's.. ie;airfare are paid by the U.S. Army or Department of Defense,NOT the soldier, to and from place of destination.  Any more questions on this matter should be directed, to the Human Resource NCO whos e-mail address can be found in the Contacts Page.
